It's all about making choices and decisions that are popular among the community. Not just popular among the politicians.

What Do You Think?
I want to know what you think about all of the issues that Bristol is faced with today. I'll try to categorize them by topic as best as possible so everyone can see what concerns, questions and hopes the citizens of Bristol have.

I would like to know what do you plan to do with all the crime on Federal Hill. I also would like to know what you are going to do about The Bristol Property Managment renting to people who do not care about the neighboorhood. The drug dealing around the hill is out of control! What do you plan on doing to correct this problem if elected mayor?
I sincerely believe that we need to take an active approach to the crime problem with a more involved program between all of the people of the affected areas, our police department and possibly the state police and other resources which have not been tapped as yet. The renting of the properties is a very difficult fraction of the problem; ultimately, the real issue is to enforce all of our building codes to ensure compliance by the property owners; when the cost of business is such that the profit margin is affected, hopefully they will sell the property to those who have a vested interest in our community.
yes I did vote to continue the conveyance tax again this year because it provides Bristol with additional revenues in excess of 1 million dollars a year. These excess funds should be used to bolster both the creation/implementation of big ticket or one time items thereby lessening the potential for a greater tax impact on the community.
Art, I don't know you well but we have spoken a few times. You have yet to let me down and I like the way you didn't play follow the leader the past couple years.
Just one comment for you - use simpler words and sentences. It makes it easier to follow what you are trying to say. Sometimes you lose me.
Art, it was great to hear you speak at our union meeting last night. You gave me a feeling of hope, I have to let you know that I am a republican but when it comes to you as our Mayor I am of no party. You are a good man and I believe you are the man for our City. You will have the support of my family and my good friends. May God Bless you. from me and the BCHS laddies we love you. Diane Vandenheuvel
Diane, thank you so very much for the kind words and your continued support. As I stated last evening, I will strive to enhance the future of our great city with the inclusion of everyone who is elected by the people to serve in this next administration.

What are you going to do with the lack of managment in this city?
